- Purchasing a plan: When you purchase a plan, we require that you provide us, or our third-party payment processor, with your name, payment card information, and billing address. Payment card information is collected and stored by our secured, encrypted, third-party payment processor, not by us.

We advise you not to share sensitive personal information that you do not need to disclose for the Service, such as information relating to medical conditions, racial or ethnic origin, political or religious beliefs, or sexuality.
- Information about others: If you give us Personal Information about someone else (for example, a name and address to send a gift on your behalf), you must have their permission, and this Privacy Policy also applies to that information.

- Applying to become an Assistant: We may collect your name, contact information, work experience, education, photo, social network information, relevant skills, and government-issued identification. Where we undertake vetting or background checks, our background check provider may collect additional information, including information about criminal convictions or offenses, and your consent will be requested at that time in accordance with applicable law.

These tools may capture your IP address, device ID, web browser, mobile network information, pages viewed, time spent on pages, links clicked, and conversion information. This information may be used to analyze and track data, determine the popularity of content, deliver advertising and content targeted to your interests, and better understand your online activity. We may also use third-party platforms to promote interest-based advertisements, including by converting contact information you have provided into a unique value that these platforms may compare against their own data to identify you as part of an intended audience for our advertisements.
- AI features: Certain information is collected incidentally when you use AI-powered features on our Platform, including our AI assistant. We collect the contents of your communications, including any chat, audio, video, or attachments you exchange when using these features. With your explicit permission, we may train our AI technology on your profile information and past delegation tasks in order to provide you with more accurate services. We may combine information we collect about you from these various sources. If a combination of information identifies you as an individual, we will treat the combined information as Personal Information.

The advertiser’s privacy policy will govern its use of your information, and you should review it before providing information.
- Business transfers: We may share Personal Information with another company in connection with, or during negotiations of, any merger, acquisition, financing, reorganization, bankruptcy, receivership, sale of all or a portion of our assets, or transition of services to another provider. In the event we acquire another company, brand, or business (whether through merger, asset purchase, or other transaction), unless we specifically tell you otherwise, Personal Information collected by that company, brand, or business following the closing of such transaction will be governed by this Privacy Policy. We will use commercially reasonable efforts to notify you of any such transfer or acquisition, for example via email or by posting notice on our Site.
- Legal requirements: We may share Personal Information when we believe it is necessary to (a) comply with a legal obligation, regulatory requirement, or enforceable governmental request, including lawful requests from public authorities to meet national security or law enforcement requirements; (b) enforce or apply the terms and conditions of the Service, including investigating potential violations; (c) protect the rights, property, or safety of Double, our users, or others; (d) prevent a crime or protect national security; or (e) detect, prevent, or otherwise address fraud, security, or technical issues.

We reserve the right to provide information related to potentially illegal activity contained in those accounts to law enforcement. It is solely your responsibility to notify senders of email or meeting invitations that you have delegated your email and calendar to us and that their communications may be observed by us on your behalf.
We may also share aggregated or de-identified information that cannot reasonably be used to identify you for various purposes, including compliance with reporting obligations, business or marketing purposes, or to assist third parties in understanding our users’ interests, habits, and usage patterns.
6. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
We and our online tool providers use cookies, local browser storage, web beacons, pixels, tags, software development kits (SDKs), and application programming interfaces (APIs) (collectively, “Tracking Technologies”) to keep you logged in, save your preferences, and collect information about how you use the Service. A “cookie” is a small data file stored in your browser; a web beacon, pixel, or tag is a small, usually transparent image on a web page that allows its operator to read or write a cookie.
You can configure most browsers to erase, refuse, or notify you about cookies and local storage. If you do so, you may be logged out, lose preferences, or find that some features of the Service do not function properly. More information about managing cookies is available at https://allaboutcookies.org/.
Third-party Tracking Technologies may collect information automatically, in which case that information is subject to the third party’s privacy policy, and some allow you to opt out of certain collection or uses. Providers we currently use (or reserve the right to use) include: Google Analytics, HubSpot, Maxio, LinkedIn, Microsoft, Meta Platforms, and Adobe. Please see their respective privacy policies for more information.
To learn more about interest-based advertising and the choices offered by participating companies, please visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s opt-out page (https://optout.networkadvertising.org) or the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out page (https://optout.aboutads.info). On a mobile device, you can learn about the DAA’s mobile choices program at https://youradchoices.com/appchoices.
Do Not Track. We do not currently change our behavior in response to web browser “do not track” signals. In the event that a universally accepted standard emerges on how organizations should respond to such signals, we will assess and provide an appropriate response.
7. Direct Marketing
Where you have consented, or as otherwise permitted by law, we may contact you from time to time with information about our Service. You can opt out of receiving promotional emails and texts at any time by contacting us at [email protected], adjusting notification preferences in your device settings, or following the opt-out or unsubscribe instructions in the messages we send you. It may take up to ten (10) business days to process your request. Even if you opt out of promotional communications, we may continue to send you non-promotional communications, such as those about your account, transactions you have requested, or changes to our legal terms.
8. How Long Do We Retain Your Information?
We retain your Personal Information for as long as is required to fulfill the activities set out in this Privacy Policy, for as long as otherwise communicated to you, or for as long as is permitted by applicable law. For example, we may retain your Personal Information where reasonably necessary to comply with legal obligations, meet regulatory requirements (including tax, payment, and invoicing records retained for legally mandated periods), resolve disputes or litigation, or as otherwise needed to enforce this Privacy Policy and prevent fraud and abuse.
To determine the appropriate retention period, we consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the Personal Information, the potential risk of harm from unauthorized use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process it, whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and applicable legal requirements. To dispose of Personal Information, we may anonymize it, delete it, or take other appropriate steps. Information may persist in copies made for backup and business continuity purposes for additional time.
9. International Data Transfers
Personal Information we collect may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States, where we are based, or in any country where we have operations or engage vendors or service providers, including Canada. These countries may not have the same data protection laws as the country in which you originally provided the information. By using the Service or submitting your Personal Information to us, you agree to such transfers to the extent permitted by law. You agree that all transactions relating to the Service are deemed to occur in the United States, where our servers are located.
If you reside or are located in the European Economic Area (“EEA”) or the United Kingdom, you may contact us at [email protected] to obtain a copy of the relevant safeguards we use to transfer Personal Information outside the EEA or UK.
10. What Are Your Rights and Choices?
- Access, update, or delete your Personal Information: If you have an account, you may access, update, or delete Personal Information you have provided by logging into your account and editing your account information, or by emailing us at [email protected]. We will try to locate and provide you with your Personal Information and give you the opportunity to correct it, if inaccurate, or delete it, at your request. We may need to retain certain information for legal reasons or legitimate business purposes, such as to resolve disputes or enforce our agreements, and cached or archived copies may be retained for a period of time. We may require you to verify your identity before providing access. Please be aware that if you request deletion of your Personal Information, you may not be able to continue to use the Service.
- Limiting your profile and connected services: You can control the information we collect by limiting what you provide in your profile, adjusting your privacy settings on Third-Party Services and third-party authentication providers connected to your account, or choosing not to use those integrations.
- Promotional communications and cookies: See Sections 6 and 7 above.
Additional Rights for EEA/UK Residents
If you reside or are located in the EEA or UK, you may exercise the following rights free of charge, subject to statutory exceptions:
- Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time by emailing [email protected]. Withdrawal does not affect the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal.
- Right of access and rectification: You may access, review, and rectify your Personal Information and request a copy of the Personal Information we process.
- Right to erasure: You may request erasure of Personal Information that is no longer needed for the purposes for which it was collected, in accordance with applicable law.
- Right to object or restrict processing: Under certain circumstances, you may object to, or request restriction of, the processing of your Personal Information, including processing for direct marketing purposes.
- Right to data portability: You may receive your Personal Information in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transmit it to another service provider.
These rights may be limited, for example, if fulfilling your request would reveal Personal Information about another person, or if you ask us to delete information we are required by law to keep or have compelling legitimate interests in keeping. If you have unresolved concerns, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection authority where you live, work, or where you believe a breach may have occurred; however, we invite you to contact us first, as we would be happy to try to resolve your concern directly.
11. United States State Privacy Rights
Certain U.S. state laws, including the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (CCPA/CPRA), the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, the Colorado Privacy Act, the Utah Consumer Privacy Act, and the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, provide residents of those states with rights in connection with their Personal Information. Regardless of whether these laws currently apply to our Service, we provide notice and transparency about our collection and use of Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy, and residents of any state may submit requests to access, correct, or delete their Personal Information as described in Section 10 above. We will not discriminate against you for exercising your privacy rights.
We do not sell Personal Information in exchange for money. Like many companies, we use advertising and analytics services that may constitute “sharing” of Personal Information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. You may opt out of such sharing by contacting us at [email protected] or by using the cookie and advertising controls described in Section 6.
Shine the Light. California Civil Code § 1798.83 permits California residents to request, once a year and free of charge, information about categories of Personal Information (if any) we disclosed to third parties for direct marketing purposes and the names and addresses of those third parties in the immediately preceding calendar year. California residents may submit such a request in writing using the contact information below.
Nevada. We do not sell Personal Information as defined under Nevada law. Nevada residents may contact us at [email protected] with questions.
12. Residents of Canada
We provide Service to individuals and businesses in Canada. We collect, use, and disclose Personal Information of Canadian residents in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy legislation, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and substantially similar provincial laws. Canadian residents may access, correct, or request deletion of their Personal Information, and may withdraw consent to its collection, use, or disclosure (subject to legal or contractual restrictions), as described in Section 10 above.
If you object to our use of your Personal Information as described in this Privacy Policy, you may file a complaint by emailing [email protected]. We will attempt to accommodate your objection or complaint, but to the extent you object to processing that is necessary for us to provide the Service, certain features and functionalities may no longer be available to you. Nothing in this Privacy Policy prejudices your right to file a complaint with the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada or any other applicable data protection authority.
13. How Do We Protect Your Information?
We use generally accepted administrative, physical, and technical safeguards that we believe are appropriate to protect the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of your Personal Information. For example, we use Secure Socket Layer (SSL), Transport Layer Security (TLS), or similar encryption technology when sensitive data is transmitted over the Internet, and we use firewalls to help prevent unauthorized external access to our network. We restrict access to Personal Information in our possession to personnel and service providers who need to know that information in order to operate, develop, improve, or support the Service.
However, no data transmission over the Internet and no method of data storage can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and any transmission of data is at your own risk. While we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. In the event Personal Information is compromised as a result of a security breach, we will make the required notifications as required under applicable law.
14. Children
The Service is not intended for, and we do not authorize use by, anyone under 18 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect or solicit Personal Information from anyone under 18. If you are a parent or legal guardian and think your child under 18 has given us Personal Information, please contact us at [email protected].
15. Third-Party Websites
The Service may link to or integrate with third-party websites, services, or applications that are not operated or controlled by Double. This Privacy Policy does not apply to the privacy practices of those third parties, and a link is not an endorsement of, or representation of our affiliation with, any third party. We encourage you to review the privacy policies of any third-party service before providing Personal Information to or through them.
16. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may modify or update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. If we make changes, we will post the updated Privacy Policy on our Site and update the “Last Revised” date above. If we make material changes, we will notify you by reasonable means, such as posting a notice on our Site or sending an email to the address we have on file, prior to the changes becoming effective. Your continued use of the Service after the revised Privacy Policy has become effective indicates that you have read, understood, and agreed to the current version, to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree to the changes, you must stop using the Service after the effective date of such changes.
